MY PRIORITIES

Jobs, Economic Opportunity and Local Business

London’s economy should work for workers, families, and local businesses — not just large developers or outside investors.

People need stable jobs, accessible transportation, affordable commercial spaces, and a city that supports economic growth in a way that benefits the whole community.

I will advocate for:

  • Supporting local businesses and revitalizing empty storefronts

  • Better transit access to employment areas

  • Attracting employers that create stable, long-term jobs

  • Workforce development partnerships with local organizations and institutions

  • Economic growth that balances affordability, sustainability, and infrastructure needs

We need to create opportunities that allow people to stay, work, and succeed in London.

Affordability and Cost of Living

Londoners are working harder than ever while falling further behind. Rising housing costs, taxes, inflation, utility bills, and everyday expenses are putting enormous pressure on families, seniors, students, and workers.

Municipal government cannot solve affordability alone, but it can stop making life harder and start making smarter decisions that prioritize people.

I will advocate for:

  • Responsible growth that includes affordable housing options

  • Filling empty commercial spaces to support jobs and local businesses

  • Better transit access to reduce transportation costs

  • Stronger support for local workers and small businesses

  • Reviewing city spending to ensure taxpayer dollars are being used effectively and fairly

  • Policies that help people remain in their communities instead of being priced out

We need a city where people can afford to live, work, and build a future.

Waste, Environment and Smarter City Services

Londoners want a city that is clean, environmentally responsible, and easy to navigate — but many residents are frustrated with the current waste collection system and inconsistent service expectations.

As our city grows, we need waste and environmental policies that are practical, sustainable, and responsive to residents’ daily realities.

I will advocate for:

  • Reviewing and improving London’s current garbage collection program

  • Exploring more flexible and resident-friendly waste solutions

  • Reducing illegal dumping and litter in neighbourhoods

  • Protecting and expanding greenspaces across the city

  • Strengthening our urban tree canopy goals

  • Supporting sustainable growth practices in new developments

  • Working with environmental organizations and local experts on long-term climate action plans

Environmental policy should improve quality of life while keeping London clean, healthy, and livable.

Safety for Women, Girls, and Vulnerable Residents

Everyone deserves to feel safe in their neighborhood, on transit, downtown, and in public spaces.

Safety is not only about enforcement — it is also about prevention, accessibility, lighting, housing stability, mental health support, and community trust.

As someone with experience in advocacy and frontline community work, I believe we need to listen directly to women, survivors, vulnerable residents, and community organizations about what safety truly looks like in London.

I will advocate for:

  • Safer public transit and public spaces

  • Better lighting and infrastructure in high-concern areas

  • Collaboration with organizations supporting women and survivors of violence

  • Increased awareness around exploitation, scams, and elder abuse

  • Faster and more effective responses to community safety concerns

  • Policies that address root causes of insecurity and isolation

A safer city is one where everyone feels they belong and can move freely without fear.

Public Transit and Connected Communities

Public transit is more than buses — it is how people access jobs, education, healthcare, and opportunity. As London continues to grow, our transit system must grow with it.

Many neighbourhoods in Ward 14 and across London have transit routes nearby, but residents still face long walks to stops, inconsistent evening service, and difficult transfers to work, school, and appointments. Transit should work not only on major roads, but inside the communities where people actually live.

I will advocate for:

  • Expanded transit service to growing neighborhoods

  • Improved evening and weekend reliability

  • Better east-west connections across the city

  • Transit solutions for shift workers and employment/commercial areas

  • Safer, more accessible bus stops and shelters

  • Stronger coordination between transit planning and new housing developments
